My book cover choices!!!

These pictures are just models for my actual sketches! I wanted the book cover to have some type of connection to the title of the story (Pulled into Darkness).
I always thought about what kind of things lurks in the darkness and what type of things happen in the darkness. I thought about wolves, and beastly scratches.
A third choice for my book cover is a dark forest. I don't think I'll be choosing a dark forest because it doesn't really have meaning to it. I feel like the others do.

Excerpt from my Book

...The animal behind me growled loudly and started dragging me back. My hands easily slipped off the tree trunk and all I could do was sink my nails into the dirt and grass on the forest ground.
Hoarse laughter suddenly filled my ears and at first I thought my ears were playing tricks on me but when I looked over my shoulder and saw a familiar face, anger boiled inside of me and I yanked my ankle out of the man's grasp.
"Ashton what the hell?!" I asked the naked werewolf in front of me.
Calming down his laughing to a few giggles, Ashton met my eyes, "I'm sorry, Cathy I over did it." he said, "I didn't think you'd be that scared..."
"Well, I was!" I exclaimed, causing him to chuckle.
"Sorry," Ashton apologized again, as I got up from the floor. He did too and I turned away from his nude body, "How like a human girl to do that," I heard him say. He was talking about me turning away from him.
"Yeah, well if you werewolves weren't so comfortable with nudity..." I trailed off, not meeting his gaze.
"What's the shame in that?" Ashton asked, "You were naked when you came out of your mother."
I glared up at him, keeping my eyes locked to his,"That isn't the same thing!" I shouted "And by the way, I'm not a girl. I'm twenty-five."
"So am I," Ashton said, bluntly. And yet, he acts like a child. He looked up at the dark sky for a moment and then back down to me, "I need to go, Cathy."
   "Pack trouble?" I asked.
"Not really, but I still need to go," Ashton answered, "So until next time?" he smirked at me and I nodded.
He ran in a direction, taking himself more into the woods.

My Revised Story

-When my book is printed out officially I want it to be a soft cover, but inbetween I hope I have a lot of pages that have very detailed writing in it.

-Complete with characterization, dialogue, theme and imagery.

-However to give this future, actual, book the "go ahead" I need it to have EVERYTHING I want in it. No matter how difficult it is, this book, my book needs to have everything I want in it or else I won't be satisfied to show it off as the author.

-REVISION plays a wonderful part in my book!

- I am only gonna add new characters and make sure the reader can understand what I'm talking about.

MY Project!!!

-Description-

One of the sketches I drew for my project is a pair of leopard eyes.(That I need to color). The second sketch is a panther(that I also need to color) and the third sketch is a image of a forest at night. (Considering I drew a crescent moon in the upper left corner) I also need to color that drawing as well, so I can get an idea of what colors to put when I make my book trailer.

-Book Cover Idea-
I really think I should choose a picture of a forest and 'prefect' it in photo-shop since the main setting in my book is the forest anyway.

-More ideas-
For my book trailer I shouldn't only think about the main character. Since the book is focusing on werecats, I think the trailer should show mostly wild cats, the woods and maybe a little bit of a the main character.

What Gives me Ideas for new Stories

Sometimes an idea just pops up in my mind, when I am thinking of  a new story. Other times, it depends on the novels I read. I would get some ideas from that certain story. Other times I'll just be watching a movie and I get a 'bright' idea for a story.
For me, I get ideas for new stories any kind of way.
Most of the time it comes naturally for me, and I have no problem adding on to what the plot is.
However, just because I get bright ideas quickly I do suffer from writers block a lot.
Like I mentioned before, though I get ideas quickly and all I have to do is watch a certain TV show or movie and I get a vision/idea right then.

The Characters I make for my Stories

The main character in my stories don't come to me right away. It takes a lot of time to develop them in my head, but one thing I am positive of is that the lucky character is most-likely going to be a girl.
But; that doesn't mean the only characters that are swimming around in my head are all girls...
I enjoy watching, reading and writing romance. So the rest of the characters for a story I am working on are most-likely unisex. Maybe the main character who is always a strong, confident, and sassy woman/girl could have a love interest or a best friend and of-course a family members.
When I write I try to aim at the young-adult and adult audience. Like I said before I love romance and romance is very easy for me to write. Sure; my romantic story may have a bit of action in it, some fantasy too.
It's difficult thinking and writing out what my character's personalities are. From my point-of-view I feel like, allowing your characters to have personas and  even emotions are very important in a story because it allows the reader to understand what the character is about.
This tactic seems easier with my girl characters then my boy characters. I always think it's because 'I' myself am a girl and I know all of the perks of being one.

If I will Ever Quit Creative Writing...

I don't think I ever will quit creative writing. I've been doing for so long. At-least I think I will back off of writing stories because I have to focus more on my studies and; since being an author isn't really in my mind right now, I don't have to keep writing.
Since I've been writing my own stories for six years now I doubt I will just stop writing novels or short stories.
I LOVE writing now, and I'm sure I'll never stop loving the talent(writing) I never knew I had until sixth grade.
My mother and older sister love my writing and I appreciate their support. My Writing Club teacher, Jody adores my writing as well and I am grateful for her support.
My use of grammar and characterization has gotten better. And also my use of imagery. Even though, I'm not really looking to be a well known author for a career I could still continue writing.
Because that's one of my talents that I enjoy doing and hopefully won't quit doing.
